Introduction, Welcome, Keynote: Court Culture and Change [Software Lab Will Be Closed] |
The theme of the 2016 ACAP Systems Conference is Embracing Change. Courts are faced with rapidly changing processes, technologies, and expectations of attorneys, litigants, and the public. In the keynote address, Dr. Matthew Kleiman will discuss the impact of court culture on dealing with change and give us sound advice on how to embrace change for successful outcomes. |

Do You Have Change for a Bitcoin - The Changing Landscape of Computer Security |
How do we face the changing landscape of computer security threats, which now include ransomware, extortion, and hacktivism? Securing court information is an important responsibility of the entire justice system, and is included in requirements from Legislative Audit. The AOC’s Chief Information Security Officer will discuss the changing security threats and steps you can take to ensure Data Security in the Court. |
2:45 PM - 3:45 PM |
Court and justice information is constantly changing. Mailing and even faxing information to ACIC and Driver Services is just too slow and too inaccurate for the 21st century. A principle goal of court automation is timely, accurate, and complete justice information being available to courts, law enforcement, and justice agencies. ACAP experts will discuss the current and coming data exchanges and tell users what buttons to push to make sure the right information is sent at the right time. |

Changing the Documents: CSI's Intellidact intelligent redaction software |
Last year the AOC signed a statewide purchase contract that allows Arkansas courts to contract for redaction services from CSI. AOC is also working with CSI and some courts to automatically submit from Contexte any filed documents that require redaction. Courts using eFiling or internal imaging will be able to "subscribe" to CSI's redaction services. In this session CSI will demonstrate their redaction solution and answer court questions on redaction. |
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM |
There are more Arkansas courts on Contexte than ever before, resulting in a wealth of court information. This session is for those who don’t love spreadsheets but want to embrace data to improve court practices. |
