  Securing Court Information Access to Court Records Improving the Quality of Court Information

Richard Schauffler, Director of the Court Statistics Project of the NCSC
  Securing court information is an important responsibility of the entire justice system. The AOC’s Chief Information Security Officer will discuss current threats and steps we can take to protect court information. This session will explain how the Freedom of Information Act and Administrative Order 19 authorize access to court information. The impact of the Internet and the balance of open courts and personal privacy will be discussed. The justice system requires timely, accurate, and complete information to ensure justice for participants. AOC and the National Center for State Courts will discuss local and national efforts to improve the quality of court information and how data quality impacts the Judicial Branch.

  Lessons Learned in the Paperless Court New Features in Court Management Software Improving Customer Support
  Attorney David Fequet, and staff of Pulaski Circuit Court Representatives from Xerox and Tybera Administrative Office of the Courts
  Pulaski County Circuit Court was the first in the State to begin eFiling. This session will present lessons learned from the clerk’s office to the courtroom in becoming a paperless court. Contexte, Juror, and eFlex vendors, Xerox and Tybera, discuss new features and functionality coming to their court management products AOC is now supporting thousands of users on Contexte, eFlex, Juror and other applications. In this interactive session AOC staff will hear from court users on how we can improve service and discuss steps we are taking to improve customer satisfaction.

  Having achieved nearly all of the goals from the 2001 Strategic Technology Plan, representatives from the Supreme Court Committee on Automation will discuss the courts’ technology strategy.
