NOTICE OF ORDER OF DISBARMENT
IN RE: ALBERT WAYNE DAVIS

Albert Wayne Davis, presently residing in Batesville, Independence County, formerly of Little Rock, Pulaski County, with Arkansas Bar ID #76026, has been barred from engaging in the practice of law in this State for violation of the Arkansas Model Rules of Professional Conduct. On October 4, 2001, the Arkansas Supreme Court entered a Per Curiam Order granting a Petition to Disbar Mr. Davis, filed by the Committee on Professional Conduct.
The Committee's Petition for an Order of Disbarment was based upon violations of Model Rule 8.4(b) of the Arkansas Model Rules of Professional Conduct. The Petition and attached exhibits on file with the Clerk of the Arkansas Supreme Court, reflect that on Mr. Davis was convicted of three felonies on July 13, 1999, including Possession of a Controlled Substance, a violation of Ark. Code Ann. 5-64-101 and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a violation of Ark. Code Ann. 5-64-403. The Petition also demonstrates that on September 24, 1999, Mr. Davis pled guilty to one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a violation of Ark. Code Ann. 5-64-403, a felony. He also entered a nolo contendere plea to the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a violation of Ark. Code Annotated 5-64-401, another felony. Each of these criminal convictions was determined to be in violation of Arkansas Model Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4(b).
